As existing clients, the owners of this property were no strangers to Bang & Olufsen or our business and our way of doing things. However, there are no guarantees in life and we still tendered alongside other AV companies to win this contract.

The Dream

Our clients had purchased a very individual property and completely refurbished it. Their requirements were very simple – every screen and loudspeaker had to be installed in a sympathetic way in keeping with the interior and overall design.

The client liked the Scandinavian design and didn’t want products hidden out of sight but we needed to be creative, for example by flush mounting the screens (where possible) into the walls.

In addition, they wanted a private home cinema in a dedicated room of its own.

The Solution

Attention to detail was the key, and while the product selection was straight-forward, the challenge was discreet installation.

This was achieved by the use of intuitive mounting brackets and solutions from Future Automation, combined with a great deal of thought.

The home cinema room was exciting; it always is when it’s a dedicated room. We designed the whole room very much on an example in place in one of our retail showrooms.

The end result was stunning, with a Lutron lighting system, acoustically shaped walls, an 82” Stewart screen and a projector that elegantly drops down from the ceiling when the room is in use and disappears out of sight when the screen is off.
